New - contact centre payment security feature for PCI compliance

Netcall is pleased to announce that we have now incorporated a leading PCI DSS level one certified secure payment feature into our contact centre solution, Liberty Converse.

Any organisation that takes payments over the phone, can do so quickly and securely, without any impact on customer experience. Using DTMF masking technology, customers are asked to give their card details using their telephone keypad. Agents cannot see, hear or access this information and your contact centre is removed from the scope of PCI DSS.

The secure protection of cardholders’ data is a very complex task when accepting payments through various channels. While contact centres are always trying to evolve to serve their customers, data breaches are still a real risk, especially when humans are involved.

The Payment Card Industry Data Security Standard (PCI DSS) governs the receipt and storage of payment card data and its safe handling, without fraud risk. But, this gets complicated when information is verbally provided by customers to make payments with contact centre agents.
