Adding attachments to Email Templates

Does anyone know how you can add the ability for Agents to manually add attachments to message templates before sending.

We have a requirement for planning officers to attach a PDF/Image that they have created themselves (eg not loaded in Netcall or made from File record data).

I believe this option is only available for freeform messages, not ones using fixed template contents.
If you set the Channel Source as “Free-form”, then within the Attachments section the “Source” dropdown will get the extra option “Free-form”, meaning the end user can upload files themselves to attach.

It’s a real shame you can’t use attachments with email templates as well.
