Setting Up ODBC Connections

We have been trying to set up an ODBC connection to Power BI and SQL Server Management Studio but are not having any luck.

I have followed the help guide to set up a view and I have created a database and added the view to it. The IP address has been set to the server we have both platforms installed on.

When connect through Power BI we get an error saying that it was unable to connect to the remote server and when trying on the SQL Management Studio we get the following error:

Does anyone have any advice or suggestions on how to get this working?

Liberty Create uses MySQL not SQL Server. You also need to whitelist the external facing IP addresses that are connecting to the Liberty Create MySQL database. You don’t need to use ODBC at the client end - calling it ODBC at the LC end is just incorrect and confusing.
