Will authenticated webpage links expire after so many days, or should they be valid forever?

We have a user who is saying the authenticated webpage link has expired (we sent it in an email, and he didn’t access for 2 weeks or more).

It depends on the configuration of the destination webpage, you can set an optional expiry time for links, which would start from when the link is generated (i.e. when the email is sent).

There is also a rule action which can prematurely expire webpage links that have been sent out with an expiry time, maybe when a case reaches a certain stage for example and as such the links are therefore no longer valid.

In the Authenticated Webpage’s Basics tab see this setting:

If left blank (which it is by default) the links will not expire.

Note that if you add an expiry time to a page which didn’t have it before, any normal non-expiring links already sent out will become invalidated.

Thanks Bob, I had not set any Link expiry; and as it has only been reported once It seems likely a “user issue”.
