Autosaving a form

I’ve build quite a big form and have added a button at the very bottom of the form to “save” the form without having to submit it and triggering an event, however I have had some user feedback wondering if the possibility of doing some way of autosaving the form so we don’t need to be reliant on that manual saving. I’ve tried to look around but couldn’t see a way to do it so any advice or guidance would be greatly appreciated

It’s a reasonably common request, but unfortunately there is no native way of auto-saving yet.

Here are a few ideas in the portal requesting it, throw some votes on them and maybe the platform team will implement…

A way we have done it is to create a Fragment Validator and put it on every property. The Validator receives the property value and you can then save it.

let value = fragment_presenter.get_value(); // this is the current value entered by the user.
let targetRecord = fragment_presenter.get_base_record_id(); // this is the record id of the field
let fragmentSelector = fragment_presenter.get_selector(); // this is the field path

let rec = cs.record(targetRecord);
rec.set(fragmentSelector, value);
return true;
