I need to increase the ‘Ring Duration’ on all of our Azure AD sync’d ‘Desk’ entries. I can see in templates where to do this but that looks like it’s just for new contacts being added. How would I go about changing for all existing, please?
Hi @jhill. You are correct that the Template settings are for New Contacts, but if you want to make a global change, you can set the value in the field you want. In this case, I want to change the Desk Ring Length from 30 to 120 seconds.
I can then scroll to the bottom of the page and click Save, and then I can click Re-Apply Template Settings on the left-hand side.
I can then tick the required box that I want to change for all Entities within my Template. (Ring Length - Desk in this example)
Then I scroll to the bottom and click Re-Apply
!!!!VERY IMPORTANT!!!!
These changes will affect all entities in the Template, overriding any other personal settings an Entity has. The change is irreversible, and you should always be 100% sure you are happy to make it before clicking the Re-Apply button.
I am asked to do this with a confirmation dialogue box. Click OK to continue.
A separate window will pop up telling me the progress, and when it is complete, I can click on the Close This Window link.
Now, all your entities should have the new ring length. Repeat this for any other templates you want to adjust.
Please note: This will only affect calls being transferred to these entities. If you want to change the ring length of the time it takes for a Contact Centre call to be answered by an Agent, you should do that within your Contact Centre Group Settings.

Spot on, it is related to transferring calls to the entities, as we’ve found it going to ‘no answer’ before the persons’ voicemail (native phone client) kicks in, so will extend to as you’ve described. Appreciated.
