Can you use a set field rule to upload an Icon/image?

Hi,

Quick question. Can you use a set field rule to upload an icon? In my scenario, if I create a task I would like to upload an icon for it.

I can see the functionality, but everytime I save the rule the file is “lost”.

Instead of saving an image per record, it might be better to use a variable type “image” and include it the pages you wish to show it.

Afternoon Carl,

Does the icon ever get applied, ie. it has been captured?
Does the detective log say anything when the rule is applied?

It’s more like the rule is not accepting the image on upload to the rule. I have tried .svg, .jpg and .png

Morning Carl,

I have logged this as a bug, however, in the meantime, you can set the image as a variable and instead use the ‘Copy Field Value’ action. Use a variable to store the image and have it copy from there as the default image for your rule.

Afternoon Carl,

This issue has now been resolved and after patching to the latest release you will now be able to set any file/image field to an uploaded asset.
