If you set the field value history widget to displays history data going back a couple of years, does this have a big performance impact on a host? Is there a recommended optimum setting?
I am referring to the Offset, Unit and Number settings relative to the current time.
Hi Personally I do not think it would have an adverse impact. The data is there in the system and essentially is higher in the tables, so potentially could be retrieved just as well as later records which are deeper in the same tables. Maybe the loading does flip the order to most recent first, however the back-end should optimize based on the settings applied.
