Kanban AppShare widget

Hi,

I have installed the Kanban widget from AppShare, was wondering if the developer that created it could give me som advice about the way it works. I can get columns working fine, but Cards are proving elusive…

Hi @richard.moss ,

Nice to meet you! I am the developer of the Kanban widget and happy to advise and help you here

If you could kindly provide details as to the issues you are having with configuring Cards, I can provide more details as to the setup, configuration and necessary setup.

Hi @ali.bandali ,

I have set it up using CASE type object as my ‘Boards’ object linked to the Columns object, this allows me to title the columns as I want. However, navigating through the Cards object doesn’t have the same effect. Do I need to map the fields from other objects to the fields in the Cards object in order to make them visible? Also, does the ‘donor’ object need to be a general object type?

Hi @richard.moss ,

By the sounds of it, your relationship from Boards to Columns is correct, and working as expected.

Not sure what you mean by navigating through to your Cards object, but to explain, you would need a one2many relationship from your Columns to Cards object to make this work. You would then be able to map the data from the Card object and enable settings for what you would like to display in your cards.

I am unsure what the donor object is or how this relates to your data model, so can’t advise on this without more information I’m afraid - But most the objects in your data model can be of any object type though, there is no restriction on the type of object you use for any configuration here - a General object type is normally the easiest way to go, if in doubt.

Hopefully this information helps provide some information to setup the Kanban board, alongside the documentation provided with this AppShare item.

However, if you are still struggling to get this Kanban working, feel free to reach out to me directly and I am happy to get on a call and help you set this up if you like. Following the call, I’ll then update this thread so that it is communicated what the solution or next steps were.

Hope this helps
