Netcall text messages links - blocked - issues

Hi, We have recently started using our appt reminders within Netcall. We have had quite a few issues with patients complaining that they cannot open a link in the Patient Hub, as their phone flags it as a security link, and does not allow them to click on it? We know this is an issue for anyone who has Norton Security on their phone. Has anyone else had this please? It is increasing a number of patient complaints in our Trust. A lot of people are not even aware that their phone has Norton security.

User using Norton Internet security couldn’t access link as it was blocked. Any help would be appreciated, thanks.

Hi Monika, thank you for using Community forum, hopefully the wider community will come back with some suggestions if they have experienced the same. Without knowing anything about Norton security, the Trust could try whitelisting https://www.uhdb.nhs.uk/patient-hub and any texts from uhdb.noreplypatienthub@nhs.net. It’s not something we can test unfortunately but may be worth exploring?

You could try submitting the URL to Norton, you can report the blocked link as a false positive via Norton’s submission portal. This helps Norton reclassify the link as safe.
