Setting up 2FA for a certain user group

Hi

We need to set up 2FA for a certain user group (Cllr portal user).

I have done the following configuration.

But It doesn’t seem to work as expected. Has anyone used 2FA on user accounts?

Any help appreciated.

Hi Mihiri,

There is an option under Security>Security Policy > Scroll down to ‘Login and Sessions’ , what value do you have for “Two factor authentication”?

Thanks for the reply.

It says ‘As specified by each user object’. We have enabled 2FA under the ‘User’ object. We want to enable 2FA only for Councillor portal users. We have a separate user object for Councillor portal users. But if we enable 2FA for Councillor portal user object it doesn’t seem to work. So we have enabled the 2FA for ‘User’ object and selected ‘optional’. This way 2FA option is available to all users but they can select whether to enable it.

Is there a way to make this option configurable for user accounts only as Build admins when they create user accounts?
