Setting Up Outbound SMS Messages

I am currently working on a new surveys app for transactional surveys that will integrate with our existing framework which will send customers a link to a survey via SMS if we have a mobile number for them and then by email if we don’t but I can’t get the SMS messages to work. I can see that the rules to send the SMS is firing but the status for all of them is failed.

Is there a setting somewhere that I have missed which tells the system what number to use to send SMSs by? We already have this set up for our Housing01 and 02 apps and I assumed it would be a simple thing to set up for an additional app.

Hi Paul, there is an Admin setting there which blocks the sending of SMS Messages by default, in order to prevent the accidental sending of messages during the build process.

I will find out how to deactivate it and report back shortly to you!

Hi Paul, if you send an email request to our Sysadmin team at sysadmin.requests@netcall.com they will process the request to activate your sms sending facility!
