Size of Liberty Create teams

Hi all, we’re curious about the size and organisation of how other councils are approaching Liberty Create.

We have a dedicated team of 4 who work almost exclusively in LC, including user support, training, process mapping, service area management, development, testing and roll out.

Can other councils let us know how many people you have and what percentage of time they work on LC.
Cheers all

Hi Jo,

at East Lothian Council, we now have 5 people working full time on Create, but that includes me and I’m now more of planning/strategic than building, sadly.

We also have a new builder who is getting up to speed, and another transitioning from another part of the team, so we’ll be on 7 shortly!

We cover the same as your team, everything Create related whether it is operational or development (including some business analysis). It’s a balance we find quite challenging - we’d love to hear how others manage that balance.

Would anyone be interested in a call to share what works and what doesn’t?

Kind regards,
Jane

Hi Jo,

We’re planning to have a presentation from one of the councils on this subject actually. It should take place during our November Local Gov User Group meeting

Regards,
Monika

We have 8 Devs at various levels from lead to junior. We also have a full time Product owner, and a bit of delivery management and call upon our UX and UR colleagues when required. We cover all support and development of low code, plus support of the remaining legacy stack with this team (hopefully this will be gone soon!). We find the more we build and have to maintain the less capacity we have to build new stuff - not sure what the answer is to this, when there is never more money to extend the team…
