Strange Publish Button Behaviour

I am experiencing a strange behaviour with regard to the Publish button. Whenever I open a page for editing within Build Studio, I see both the ‘Revert’ and ‘Publish’ buttons as if a change to the page is waiting to be published. This appears on any page. If I click the ‘Publish’ button to make the change, the ‘Revert’ button disappears and ‘Publish’ switches to ‘Published’ as expected. However this only lasts for a fraction of a second and then, without making any changes to the page itself, the buttons go back to their original state, ‘Revert’ displayed and ‘Publish’ text displayed as if I had made a change!

This occurs on all pages (that I have checked) in a single environment of a single app, pages in envs of the same app and pages in other apps all behave normally.

I have tried clearing cache, cookies etc and tried using a different browser etc.

Has anyone else seen similar behaviour?

Obviously the app just needed a Christmas break! The Publish button appears to be functioning as normal now.

Hi John,

Yeah this was a bug “Build Studio page incorrectly switches the top‑right button from ‘Published’ to ‘Publish’ even though no changes are made to page” and a patch went out over the festive period to fix this, which is why you might notice it has stopped doing it now :slight_smile:
