At Adur & Worthing Councils we have an online form which enables applicants to sign up for ‘Cycle hub’ membership which allows them, through being supplied with a fob, to store their bicycle securely at specific car parks in Worthing.
As part of submitting a new membership application, applicants have to upload a recent photograph (image) of their bicycle. This is actually to enable the Parking Services team to be able to more easily trace the owner of bicycles that have been abandoned and are taking up valuable storage space.
It appears that some applicants have uploaded photographs of their bicycles in the WebP format. This doesn’t appear to be an image format supported by the ‘Image’ presenter (in Liberty Create 2024.3), which just displays the filename of the image file, instead.
Interestingly, the ‘Transform image’ Rule Action can be used to convert these types of files into a smaller sized ‘thumbnail’ image file without any problem, but, ideally, it would be nice to be able to view the original image of the bicycle as uploaded by the owner.
Will WebP format images be natively supported in the ‘Image’ presenter at some point?
